More float bowl problems 120-130 1966

The Scantech pumps put out way too much fuel pressure, around 6 or 7 PSI.

If you are using one of the chrome $20-30 dial type fuel pressure regulators it will likely fail on you, either by not passing fuel or it will leak and spray gasoline all over your engine compartment. I had two fail on me.

I think you may have to shell out the bucks ($80 or so) for one of the Holley regulators that people use with side draft Webers.

The other option is to get one of the sealed Pierburg fuel pumps, or find a period AC fuel pump that you can get a rebuild kit for.

If you are located in Portland you may also experience fuel boiling/expansion issues in your float bowls after you shut the engine off... all year round...

There are three bills or proposals in Salem that would remove the Ethanol from some or all of the gasoline sold in Oregon; I suggest you throw your support behind one of them.

Bill
