Is there a way/place to lubricate or otherwise service the speedometer.

Symptoms: seems to be ok in AM until I hit 65 or 70, then it jumps around, goes to 40 mph or so, sometimes goes to zero and stays there on first drive in AM. Then later in day, or even second morning trip it does fine. I think it is maybe cold related (it's 45 in the AM in So Cal).
