Hi everybody...

Hey Don, good hearing from you.

Damn, I probably could have used some pieces off of the 1800ES, especially if it had a stick shift. I've had one sitting in my garage for years that really doesn't need a whole lot to make it a decent car. (Well, now it would need the fuel and brake systems flushed from sitting so long.) The worst part about it is the auto trans. My son is about to start driving and wants it for his car, but I don't know about that - bumpers and fenders are getting expensive for those things.

I inherited my wife's 90 740 when she "moved up" to a 2005 S80 - she'll be sorry some day! Just like you describe, my wife and daughter were doing their best to reduce the outside dimensions of that poor car. Personally, I find it to be a sporty upgrade from my Dodge Dakota.

Take care. Keep in touch.
