Solid core wire vs braided core wire (not spark plug)

I've gotten my hands on a spool of 12ga Solid core wire that weighs close to 30lbs. I'm estimating it's nearly 500 yards...

Been reading its potential allocations...

In the Autmotive world I hardly EVER see this grade of copper used.

So which is better as far as conductivity and durability?
