Engine hesitates when A/C compressor engages 900 1992

My 960 engine runs great if the A/C is off but it will start like "missing" if the A/C is turned on, it feels like the tranny changes from 2 to 3,and it looses power a lot.

I am not sure if it's the transmission changing erratically or the engine missing, weird thing is that it runs with no issues if the AC is off.
Will a sensor be activated with the compressor and confusing the computer somehow?
