The upper ball joints, at least, are indexed by a notch which must point out to the side of the car--their motion is limited to pivot side to side rather than front to back as the control arms go through their arcs. A proper alignment for the 140 (which applies to most, if not all wishbone front suspension cars) would include-in this order-caster, camber and then toe. All three elements are adjustable on the 140/160--caster and camber by shimming the upper control arm. The lowering springs will affect all three elements.
