Timing Belt Change 200 1993

I have just changed my timing belt and seals. My question concerns keeping everything lined up. If either the camshaft sproket or indermediate sproket moves, but the bolt has not been moved is it alright to just adjust it back to its mark? I am thinking this should be OK since its not like the cam or crank got shifted. Does the intermediate shaft just assist in timing via the distributor?
