'68 light switch? 120-130

Having some problems trouble-shooting my light switch. I have the schematic and see where the wires should go (ie black-hot from ign to 30,yellow from dimmer to 56, lg white and small white-running lights to 58, and red-dash to either 58 or 88 I can't tell on the switch). My problem is that the 88 tang is hot all the time regardless of the position of the switch or key. Also does this switch have a dimming function. The stem doesn't want to rotate.
