Crazy Tail Light 700

I have an 89 740GL and my left tail light is acting up. If I step on the brakes with the left turn signal on, the reverse light turn signal and the brake light flashes.

If I have the headlights on, the brakes and turn signal lights flash back and forth....quite crazy!

All is well if I don't have the brakes light activated with the turn signal on.
Front signals and headlights are fine.

Right side is no problem.

I am purchasing a complete left side tail light with integrated board ($$$). Do you think this will solve it? I have checked and cleaned grounds with no luck.
Anything I am just not seeing as a fix?
