Headlights 120-130 1968

Hello,

Unless someone updated your Volvo by moving the hi beam switch to the turn signal pull switch, your car should not have a relay.

If you have a hi beam switch on the floor, the foot switch might be faulty as all the power for the headlights goes through this switch.

First check for power at the foot switch with a test light. The center wire of the foot switch comes directly from the headlight switch and should have power with the headlight switch in the full on position. The power from the center wire moves alternately between the 2 outer connections of the foot switch when the switch is operating correctly.

If there is power going in and out at the switch, then check the junction under the hood near the radiator. You might have to clean the connections inside the junction.
