Thanks for your reply. I got the FI relay wiring backwards.
The terminals are clean on the battery.
The Bosch super coil is their blue one that I got for my '78 Thompson I/O boat w/ the B21 (carbs and Bosch ignition.) I figured I had it I might as well use it. I've seen other Volvo owners use this coil with no ill effects. I do still have the original coil. I will swap it back out. I doubt it will affect the outcome.
When I checked the ignition last night in the dark I didn't get a good strong blue spark it was more like half blue/half yellow?

I don't have the Bently manual for this car but I do have the complete set of Green books for this model which will tell me how to confirm working systems.
