Diagnosing LH2.4 error code 1-4-4 900 1991

My '91 940T is stilling running strong at 175k miles, but recently the motor has just quit for no apparent reason 4 times in recent weeks. Three times while driving; once wouldn't start. Each time, a few minutes later, it starts like nothing happened. It popped a 1-4-4 code and after researching the FAQ's, it seems I should try replacing (or repairing) the Fuel Injector Relay and/or the Radio Suppressor Relay (yes, I know it doesn't have anything to do with the radio...) Is this a wise approach? The relays are not that costly, so I am willing to give it a shot if there is a good possibility this will fix the problem. Might there be another likely culprit? A particular connector that fails often? Any other suspect relay or sensor? It is not the RPM sensor as I already had a problem with that a year ago. Diagnosed it from the FAQ's on this site and replaced it. It's still in good shape. Any help would be appreciated.
