I'm trying to ascertain where that spare (accessory) wire that runs to the trunk terminates on the opposite end.

Does it run into that six contact block under the dashboard, and what color is it supposed to be?

It appears I have a short in my taillight circuit somewhere between the fuseblock
and the two connectors for the taillight assemblies, and I want to bypass the shorted wire for now and use the accessory wire instead.
