When the battery in my 1997 965 needed replacement, I shopped around and found that the one made by Johnson Controls and available at Wal-mart was significantly less expensive than anywhere else, including installation.

Strangely enough, it is the same battery that fits and serves well in my 1988 and 1986 244's. Terminal location is correct for the 965 and the 1988, but I had to do a "wire stretch" to fit it into the 1986.
