Temp gauge numbers.

Thanks

My system has been flushed and filled. Radiator rodded. New gmb water pump. new 87 f. thermo. Fan is good. System is tight. The comp board has been removed, and the board jumped.

The needle on the gauge stays in the center, or just below, until a hot day(90+)then it will creep up to about 9:30 or 10:00 in traffic(a/c on), and then back down toward the center on the open road.

Id just like a better idea of the temperature range that Im operating in. And what is considered normal.

My owners manual says the temp is good as long as its in the black. And not to worry unless it goes often into the red. But that would mean, if its correct, and you are correct, that 260 F(or therebout) is part of the normal temp parameters.

I sure would like to be able to visualize what points on that dial represent, and understand exactly what they mean.

Thanks Dave
