SRS light on? What are my options?

Bentley does not give much info on the ABS, I am guessing for liability reasons. Am I stuck with going to the dealer to get the error code read or is there a way I can do it? Since the dealer around here considers RWD 240s obsolete I doubt they even have the equipment or knowledge to read the code.
