Hey guys, I need some help, because I don't know what to do:
I popped the hood to check things after a 25 minute drive to walmart - and fresh oil had bled out of my fill cap and out of my new flame trap. I popped the small vacuum hose that goes from the flame trap to the manifold and found it was clogged - and some oil crud had impacted into the nipple, blocking it.
How do I remove this blockage? I don't think I should push it into the manifold. Do I remove the manifold from the head and pop the blockage back out with some wire?
This is my daily driver. I have a new manifold gasket and TB gasket, so I can take these apart and get them back on. Just tell me what I ought to do.
Thanks!
Ari
PS - I take my flame trap's leaking also as an indicator that my oil trap is NOT clogged. Am I right?
