Problem piston (B16) 444-544 1958

Hi George: The bore in this cylinder measures 3.129" with some scuffing above the area of the compression ring, adjacent to the area of the "blow out" on the piston. I plan to remove this (or at least make sure it is all sub flush) with a ridge reamer and do a very good hone job on the bores. Of course, what I end up doing here depends on what I can come up with for a piston, not sure that new singles are available. I think I read a post of yours that mentioned AMC pistons that came to a bad end?
This engine is to be my "spare" B16 so if I encounter anything that is too bad as I disassemble it, or it becomes too costly, it will become "spare parts" instead of a "spare engine".
I know where I can find a very servicable B20 for quite a bit less than the cost of a bore job and installing new oversize B16 pistons and rings right here in Tucson!

Cheers!
OK
