wheel hub question 900

Chuck,
I went through this a few weeks ago myself. I purchased my wheel studs at NAPA with no problem. They had them in stock for about $1.69 each, IIRC. Also, the anti-lock tone ring will need to be removed in order to replace the studs safely. Spook's method, noted in another reply, should work just fine. His method is much more elaborate than mine, but safer overall, I think. I did end up with a slight tweek in my tone ring. That tweek did not affect the operation of the ABS, though. Everything seems to be in working order. The hub nut socket that I had to purchase was either 32 or 36 mm. I can't remember the size off-hand, but the NAPA part number is BK 775-9022.

HTH,
Dave '95 940 wagon
