240 electrical problems

hello,

i have a 1990 244dl. every once in a while, when i hit my brakes, or turn on the high beams, or something with load, the volt gauge will flicker and the power will cut down and then back up. the battery tests out good, the alternator is a new 100amp unit. tonight while trying to find the problem, i check the resistance of ground. at first there was .32 ohms of resistance, but when i shook, or moved the main ground cable, the ohms went as high as .89 and settled at .56 . Has anyone had ground wires go bad? anyone know of anything i can try? i am stumped!!!
