Howdy everyone!
I just returned from a two month trek through Europe, complete with a loop through Sweden, the Mecca for all Volvo lovers.
Unfortunetly, the trip meant I had to leave my 65 122 sitting idle in the yard. While I asked my dad to keep the thing running every once in a while, the battery soon went dead ( after my brother left the ignition on, long story...), it was not started for the whole time. Until yesterday. With a little starting fluid and the soft touch of it's driver, I managed to get it back to life.
I managed to pick up a couple cool Volvo souvenirs, the most notable is the European Union license plate from Sweden, straight off a Volvo (but i got it in a junkyard, not off some nice old ladie's car..) pictures of which will be up hopefully soon--after the body is painted.
Moral of the story here, go to Sweden (if you want to be surrounded by Volvo taxis, police cars, and of course --everyone else!!)
now i have to settle back into the normal californian lifestyle!
thanks for reading,
Devin
