Using LED lights in the tail lights. 1997 965

In the interest of having less heat from bulbs, and a little quicker on-time on the brake lights, I got a pair of the kind needed for the brake/tail light lamp.

Got the amber bulb-out warning every time I hit the brakes or had the parks/head lights on. Matched pair, why the waring?

That experience set me off from getting any more LED's.

Any ideas? Add a resistor to make the current load equal that of incand., bulbs?

Thanks in advance,

Bob
