Replacing Headlight Plug 120-130

Hello,

PLEASE DO NOT CUT THE WIRES!!

The wires can easily be removed, but you will need to buy or make a special tool.

If you look carefully at the face of the plastic insulator opposite where the wires go in, you will see a notch above each opening where the headlight would plug in.

If you slide a thin bladed tool into the slot and push slightly towards the connector, you bend down the locking tab that prevents the connector from sliding out away from the tool.

You can make a tool by grinding on a small CHEAP flat blade screwdriver.

It is important the the tool be able to slide all the way into the notch so you have to grind down at least an inch.

This tool will serve you well in removing most of the connectors from insulators on your 122.

For clean repairs, I keep in stock the special double crimp connectors, both male and female and I even have some of the insulators as well.

Good luck,
--
