OBD Display Bulb

1990 740 NA OBD I

I've dertermined the little red bub in the OBD reader is burned out - no continuity through it. The little resistor in series with it DOES have continuity, reading "about" 260 ohms (on an old analog meter).

Does anyone know if I can just go into Radio Shack and get a bulb to replace it? If so, what do I ask for? (I'm no electronics geek.)

Can I safely solder the new one in without frying the resistor? Obviously someone did before.

FYI - I'm getting 12vdc up the blue wire to the reader and the black wire shows good continuity to ground, so I'm banking that everything else is OK.
