I am having similar symptoms on the 'Accessory Side' with a wonky Ignition switch, there is an FAQ that mentions a plastic bit in there that may explain a sudden loss of accessories. I just push the key in and the radio etc. come back to life. I'm not sure if this could relate directly to starting issues, and I note you mention a new 'Ignition' (although this may not have meant an actual new ignition assembly)

Just a thought.
