Revving the motor

What engine?
What cam?
Standard flywheel?
What are the relative displacements?

First guess is that the rotating and reciprocating components are lighter
in the Porsche engine and it probably has a wilder cam also.
The rapidity in slowing down is the relationship between compression and
inertia. The Porsche probably has higher compression and a lighter flywheel
so it slows down quicker.
