240 Tail Lights will not come off

Jim,

Those four brass colored nuts are all that hold it it. The foam gasket can get sometimes adhere to the sheet metal. You should be able to wiggle the lamp loose without breaking anything if you are careful. Of course disconnect the ground wire and multi-connector to remove the assembly completely.
