can I pull code? 900 1997

The Service light is not the same as the Check Engine light. The Service light is just a reminder to have the car serviced. It's designed to come on and stay lit for about two minutes when you crank the car, then goes out by itself.

You can reset it yourself by pulling the pencil-eraser sized rubber plug out of the plexiglass covering the instrument cluster. Poke a small stick (a toothpick will do, as will a thin shaft screwdriver) through the hole and press the button behind the plexiglass shield. Be careful when reinstalling the rubber plug so that you don't poke it all the way through and lose it behind the shield.

It's really easy to do - I've done it while driving (on an empty road, though).
