Trouble with 122 automatic 120-130

I'm still having a bit of trouble with this somewhat simple thing. The only hose I can find has a OD that makes it too wide to put into part 21. The hose I have is Gates 3/4" ID heater hose with the kevlar threads in the middle of the tube wall.

Anyone have any experience lathing rubber?
