Picked her up today. All new lifters. Clanking is gone. She feels strong and smooth. But with the radio off lightly driving around town she still ticks; sort of like just niosey lifters - BUT no clanking. These are new volvo lifters. Maybee this is the nature of this engine. I know my injectors are loud. My mechanic said something about replacing the damper cover?? I think I'm going to keep using Cheveron 10-30 with a half quart of marvel mystery oil.
