Well I live in Canada, so when its -20 outside its nice to be able to start the car a few minutes before I walk out in the cold. My drive is also very close to the highway when I drive to work, so I am on the highway and the temperature gauge is still in cold. It would help those extra few minutes to help everything warm up.
