1973 1800ES, automatic: The car starts every time when cold. When warmed up thoroughly and turned off, it will not restart until it cools down - about 30 minutes depending on outside temp. When hot, turning the ignition key results in no sounds from the car. No clicks, no buzzes, nothing. Any ideas out there? Could it be a relay or voltage regulator? Starter solenoid? Rocking the car, as someone suggested, does nothing. A longtime Volvo mechanic checked the transmission to make sure that the device that prohibits the car from starting when not in park was not causing the problem. A clue: This problem surfaced a year or so ago after the transmission was rebuilt. Any help, suggestions, guesses will be appreciated.
