Stop me before I kill again! 700 1990

Is the vibration a shimmy (rotational movement of steering wheel) or a buzz felt through the wheel? If it's a buzzing vibration felt in the wheel, it could indicate a bad crankshaft damper or even worn out engine mounts. I replaced the crank damper on my 740 Turbo (same engine as your 760 Turbo) at roughly 200k and it smoothed out vibrations felt in the car. If it's an intermittent shimmy, then tie-rod ends would be my first guess (possibly hard to diagnose with a visual inspection).
