Hi Guys,
I have a 1990 740 with a B234F. There is a strange smell of some sort of fumes coming from the car, and it does not smell like exhaust. The smell will come through the ventilation system when the car is at a standstill, but will stop as soon as car is moving. It also can be noticed coming up from under the car and in through the window when at a standstill. It seems to be coming from near the cat. converter- have had exhaust system fully checked- no problems.
Am really wanting to sort this out as it makes me feel drowsy...mechanic not even sure where it could be coming from.
Any ideas at all greatly appreciated. Jaan.
