Hi;

B20 and B18 are interchangeable - block is the same. All 1800's were 12V, PV's and Amazons before 1961 (pre B18)were 6V.

Brakes - probably, but not necessarily. Depends on several things, e.g if the 144 has Girling or ATE, as Volvo used a mixture of these.
