Well, those are two good examples - to be sure. I agree totally from a mechanical longevity position (I think).
Maybe I should have come from this position.
What cars remind you - ASTHETICALLY (lines and such) - of a brick? The Cressida I mentioned - when I look at the size, and the side window area about the mirror - I see much of a 700/900. I see some of the same lines in some of the older Maximas. The older Cherokee to me could be a 740 wagon on steroids.
Will Dallas made a comment to me (and we know he is a bit of a Volvo maverick)that many cars - well maintained would give the same long life that we get from bricks. I have to concur in many ways. One of the best cars I ever (b4 I fell in love with bricks) had was an older Buick Regal with the 3.8.
So the comment that nothing compares might be a bit over the top.
