I'm probably looking to install the anti-theft device mostly for the "coolness" factor I suppose - I never really thought that anyone would be interested in a 1992 245 when there are so many newer and easier cars to steal. That said, had this alarm been installed a couple months ago, it may have prevented the punk from breaking into my car to steal my wallet. What was my wallet doing there? My car was parked in my driveway... So, there may be some use for it, and I'm just hoping someone here will have had some experience w/ installation of this device. Thanks for the input though - interesting statistic for sure.
