Check your electrical connections at the battery and starter. Also check the coil to make sure it is clean of any oily film or moisture which could cause a short or weak spark. Even though the distributor cap looks dry on the outside it can have moisture inside or a crack or other defect that allows a little moisture to provide a path to ground.
