What the hell is the problem with my '86 240 ? 200 1986

I don't want to dash your hopes for a bad bulb, but there are actually 4 bulbs connected in parallel to to supply that "Pre-exitation Current" vial the small red wire to the Alternator's D+ terminal.

You should see all 4 at Key On, but I believe the current thru at least 3 of these bulbs will do the job:

• Alt/Battery
• Parking Brake
• Brake Failure
• Bulb Failure
