The seal you sell looks nice, however I'm concerned that the sponge half is not being utilized as it was designed to function. The seal installed must allow the sponge half to stand proud, thus a closed lid will compress sponge seal. The sure way of checking all seal contact is to close a dollar bill between panel and seal and feel the amount of pull. You can try the doors in several places and the trunk all the way around the lip. It should not hold tight but resistance should be felt. I never tore a bill. The next test is paper towels laid in the trunk and water spray. These methods works for my years in the bodyshop. It's better than getting in the trunk while someone else shines a flashlight. Keith
