well sorry man...my diesel experience is limited, but the head milling that I have seen on them was on massive (off rd equpiment). I think some of those actually had hemispherical combustion chambers and massivly domed pistons...and could be milled...but then again those were designed to run generators and pumps and loaders for tens of thousands of hours and then to be rebuilt...so they probably had lots of extra material for that. My diesel (86 ford ranger turbo ....2.3 liter mitsubishi) was never apart...so i dunnno what that thing looked like inside...too bad I couldn't hold onto it...what an odd ball vehicle...less than 100hp but towed my 3600lb pontiac....
are you gonna be able to get a new head for that thing? it sounds like a pretty exotic piece...second...what state are you in? I have a great shop in MD if that helps.
