When is enough, ENOUGH?

I had a '68 144 that was given to me for FREE in 1980. The word free is misleading, since I probably put $20,000 into the car until 1998 when it died of rot. I had to replace the B18 beacuse it would eat cams, so after getting a good B20 and swapped the auto for an M410 OD tranny, I drove the car more miles and more places than any Volvo I've had and even more than most people would ever drive any car, over 400k after the new engine. It got quite a reputation from friends and family as THE Volvo. Like an old comfortable shoe or baseball glove.
I would constantly go to the dealer for 'dealer only parts, which were a lot of items over the years, and the parts guy's would look at me and say "Why do put so much into that POS car???"

God, I loved that car.

There's your answer.
