Double up on that! 140-160

The Jag 12s in the early '70s Etypes had the same HP and torque ratings as the six cyl. and are way, way, way more complex... ie, the 4 strombergs you mentioned. The 12s just don't hold up as well. Take a look at the bottom end of the Jag I-6 XK engine. Tank like with 7 main bearings, lots of cast iron... Oh...yea. They did use the XK engines in tanks too...

The 12s are, of course, smooth as silk when in proper order...
