Heater substitute

After my heater core blew, I decided to just bypass it and be without a heater. After all, it doesn't get very cold here in SD. But then my seat warmers went and now the winter season is "cold".

Aside from the huge job of replacing the core, any ideas on heating? I question where some of those ebay electric heaters are really all that effective. Beans are not an appropriate answer. ;p
