Fuel Pump Relay Switch

I had a problem with the Fuel Pump Relay Switch on my 86 240 wagon. Basically I couldn't start the car until I removed the relay switch, smacked it a couple of times, and re-installed it. While the car is running fine now I'm wondering if it's worth the money to get a new relay switch or if just smacking the thing will mean it should work without problems for the next six months or so.

Thanks

Scott
