740 how to boost 114hp to 175hp

I am a proud new owner of a 91' 740
I have noticed that the 940's have upwards to 175 hp
I realize that some of that may be attributed to turbo
I have a B230F/88 same block as the other ones
it seems they have the same stroke, valves, etc.
the 940SE has 162hp
is there any way to boost my hp on a budget?
what are the main differences?
injectors? different head?
