Need some info 700 1986

I got a question about maf sensors. In my 86 760 turbo I had an 016 maf sensor, I did a search and found out it was supposedly the wrong one. So i got an 007 sensor put it in and the car ran terrible. Alot of pinging no power and stalling when in drive. In park at Idle it ran "so-so". It ran so bad I had to put the 016 back in and the car is back to normal. I think I have the 2.2lh system in my car do some 2.2lh vehicles come with the 016 sensor? Or do I have to somehow reset the computer for it to accept the 007. P.S. I rode the car around for an hour with the 007 but it never cleared up, it ran real bad....
