electrical problem 700 1990

you're getting a lot of alarmist statements and BS here. The facts: You have Bendix front brakes. There is a type with wear sensors and a type w/o wear sensors. Your pads have the the wear sensors. The pads you bought do not. The ones you bought will work in your calipers, apparently safely in my experience, but they make a clicking noise due to the lack of the little round projections on the top which the hold-down springs would ordinarily contact (but can't on the ones you bought because they only have very tiny projections on top).
