High NOX/FAiled Emission Test 200 1993

I need some help. My '93 245 just failed the state emissions test due to high NOX. It frustrating because the other two things they test for: HC and CO were so low they barely registers. Even more frustrating is to have the guy that tested it tell you it usually caused by a lean mixture. ARRRRGGGGHHH!

Please give some suggestions/tips on what to check. (Car only has 92,000 on the clock)
