Almost there...a little more help please!!! Fuel pump matters

Went to start my '90 740 turbo after about two months. No dice. Cranked fine. Showed spark. No fuel. Pump was not coming on. Checked relay and swapped with working one. No dice. I jumped 12volts to fuse 11 and pump whirred away. Went to start and only got a sputter or very short run time. Any further diagnostics. Thanks for the help so far! Cant wait to get her on the road again.
